The other midrange decks are playing six to seven planeswalkers, which significantly drives up the price of the deck especially if the walkers are Sarkhan and/or Sorin
If you've ever had a sleeve tear during a shuffle or split at the corner, you already know why this matters
This is most useful when blocking a creature with trample, since you can choose to have the trampler assign all of its damage to the blocker with banding and take no damage yourself
So you can cast any and all instants, sorceries and dragons, and they can't be countered
