They can't interact with your Commander on your turn and if they don't before then they're in a lot of trouble
This card is so convoluted that it feels people are going to just remove it out of spite
Nagging Thoughts, the close analogue to Jace, provided consistency and reliability to get to three mana and a Fevered Visions
The included tokens will do the job, but are a bit rough to punch out and will likely be the first thing replaced by whatever dice or other options players have handy
