An ultra chic and highly coveted Christian Dior custom demi couture museum-quality ivory and metallic silver floral motif silk brocade gown dating back to fall/winter 1962. This incredible work of wearable art was a custom made commission while Marc Bohan was creative director at Dior. Garments with this Christian Dior Paris boutique label are couture made for clients who could not travel for multiple fittings. We were thrilled to find French editorials showcasing very similar creations from the same year. Our gown is fashioned in a luxurious mid-weight ecru ivory silk-brocade with the most stunning silver floral motif. The bodice has an intricate boned bustier structure to keep the dress perfectly in place. My favorite design element is the duel-bow trimmed attached cape backside.
