This year, we built our outfits around my daughters French print dress and kept the color palette super simple for the summer surroundings (photo below by the lovely Meg Koening)

If the stripes on the shirt are thin, a bold patterned tie can work well, but if the stripes are thicker, it is best to pair it with a more subtle patterned tie or a solid colored tie

The bow is attached to the inner dress and pulls through the outer blouse to seal the silhouette
