#4 The manual says to move the small fuse to the other position

If you plug it in backward, the OEM fuse location will still work properly, but the tap will not provide fused protection to the new accessory

The fuse for the cigarette lighter is located in the fuse box, which can typically be found either under the dashboard near the drivers side or in the engine bay

BTW you should check all the fuses if they are fitted tightly as they may be loose from the manufacturer.Please see the picture attached to make it clearer

If a properly rated fuse continues to blow, it indicates a problem in the circuit that must be corrected
